During a decade in photojournalism, I photographed royalty, presidents and prime ministers, plane and train crashes. I rode in military jeeps and helicopters, in the back of stunt planes and stock cars, and had a sideline pass at everything from ther Queen's Plate to stock car races, professional hockey, tennis, baseball, golf and football. The emphasis was definitely on speed. For the last 11 years, I have worked as a Toronto-based editorial and corporate photographer, specializing in environmental portraiture. My subjects range from professional athletes and entertainers, to time-constrained CEOs, cabinet ministers, doctors and lawyers - and people from all walks of life. I love the challenge of working in everyday spaces with real people, using creative angles, beautiful light and a relaxed attitude to make fun, fresh images. My work has appeared in a wide variety of publications including The Financial Times, Fashion, MoneySense, XXL, Slam, Golf Canada, Network World, the Globe and Mail, the Medical Post and Owl. Corporate clients include McCain Food, ING Canada, Kinross Gold Corporation, Desjardins Securities, Connor Bros. Income Fund, Harris Corporation, Mohawk College, The Richard Ivey School of Business, Rosen & Company, Bowne & Co. Inc., The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and the Royal Canadian Golf Association. And the DW? It stands for David William. Call me at 416.723.7289. And call me David. |
